Beginner with some experience to advanced Intermediate
So you have some experience with felting but you don’t know what to do next …
You took a class in person or online and want to continue to explore felting techniques…
You started a project or have one in mind and need a little guidance … THIS CLASS IS FOR YOU!
With the focus on wet felting, explore different ways to create with wool. Make wallhangings, vessels, felted rock rugs, scarves, bags, lights, sculpture and more while exploring different techniques and materials. Let your imagination run wild. This class will focus on individual projects with guidance and suggestions from the instructor. Some materials will be available for sale from Liz according to the project or a materials list will be developed so you can purchase from suppliers. Students should contact Liz with project plan before class if possible.

Felted Soap Workshop
All Levels
Explore how wool becomes felt in this workshop geared for children and adults. Students will learn the process of felting to create a useful soap and washcloth combo that is as fun to use as it is to gift to others! Students should bring 2 or 3 bars of soap and a 3 hand towels to the workshop. If you’d like to make your felted soap in the shape of an Easter egg, bring oval bars of soap. Open to ages 6 and up; children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

All Levels, teens and adults
Use 2D needle felting techniques to create a mini landscape. Learn how to translate the design, choose the appropriate wools, create a sky and foreground and details. Be inspired by Liz’s designs or create your own! If you are designing your own landscape and need specific colors, please let us know in advance. Complete your piece by framing it in an embroidery hoop.

Explore how to transfer an image onto your felted background. Using a variety of wools and prefelts you will create a wet felted background and needle felted foreground. Introduction to different types of wool and embellishments, lying out the wool, calculating shrinkage and proper fulling techniques will be taught in this workshop. How to mount and display your piece will be discussed.

Wet felted over a ball using the nuno technique with silk gauze, ultra fine merino and bamboo, viscous and/or tussah silk and stiffen. Create an illuminated globe to add drama and beauty to your room. Bring your own base or chooses from available bases sold separately.
